About Me
I’ve been a photographer pretty much my whole life. People are my favorite subjects—capturing them in a way that feels natural, emotional, real, and timeless. But beyond photography, I’m a dad, grand dude, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, neighbor, and part of this community. I love my people.
I’m about as “Arvada” as they come. Grew up here—Lawrence Elementary, Arvada Junior, and an Arvada High Redskin. My photo teacher pointed me toward Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs where I earned my Associate’s degree (with some detours to the Hot Springs Pool, Sunlight, Aspen Highlands, and plenty of time spent as a whitewater river captain on the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers). Paid for all my gear and tuition with lawn-mowing money. Shoutout to my professors who taught me how to turn this passion into a business.
I’ve spent years studying portrait artists, painters, and master photographers, learning to see light and understand people’s features in a way that brings out their best. Eventually, I earned the title of Mastering Photography myself.
I’ve photographed all kinds of people and events—Colorado Ballet, the Colorado Symphony, and one of my favorites: a two-day shoot for John Tesh and PBS for his “Alive - Music & Dance” album cover and magazine spread.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably catch me listening to Billy Joel or Boston, riding my bike, cruising, scuba diving, and exploring this beautiful country. I gave up motorcycles but kept my coffee. It’s been a pretty great ride— "thus far"
